The largest of the libraries on campus, this collegiate Gothic-style building opened in 1924. The library is named for Carrie Watson, who earned KU degrees in 1877 and 1880 and was KU’s librarian from 1887 to 1921. Besides research collections, it houses administrative offices, a conservation laboratory, and computer classrooms.
